The Branch Services Department of the New Orleans Public Library operates and maintains a system of twelve library branches located throughout the entire city for the purpose of providing comprehensive library services to all members of the community. Each branch in the system has its own unique history, and each has an individual character all its own, reflecting the area and population which it serves.
